PVP college of Architecture had hosted a inter architecture sports competition named Shearforce 19-20 in Pune from 9th Jan to 12th Jan 2020 at Wanowarie Pune. Teams of 20 architecture colleges from Pune, Mumbai, Aurangabad & Baramati region participated in competition.This year Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust’s S B Patil College of Architecture & Design participated for first time in football and volleyball.
Girls Football team came up as the winners for Shearfoce 19-20 defeating previous trophy winners D Y Patil COA (Lohegaon) by 1-0. With special mention by refree, player Tejal Jawale became Man of the match in finals. It was for first time where a defense player became man of the match. Goal defense of the team was appreciated by all; the goalkeeper Sakshi Pawar maintained cleansheet in complete tournament. Snehal Gaikwad & Ankita Patil remained in second place on leaderboard making by 2 goals each. Team player Ankita Patil became the best player of the tournament.
Boys football team played upto semifinals; remained at 4th place on leaderboard. Anket Wayal, Atik Kalburgi & Atharva Aglawe became man of the match in respective group matchs. Team goal keeper Aditya Gavang maintained cleansheet.
Boys Volleyball team played upto quarter finals; remained at 6th place in leaderboard.

Student of Pimpri Chinchwad Education Trust’s S. B Patil College of Architecture and Design, Miss. Samruddhi Rambhau Shinde won Bronze medal at 58th National Speed Skating Championship which was held at Mohali Punjab from 31st March to 10th April 2021 she represented Maharashtra State in the championship. 3. To explore various presentation skills in students.
BRIEF OF THE COMPETITION:
The challenge is to design a Co–Working commercial space for freelancing Architects, Studios for established firms & a Learning Centre for architecture students. The Competition aims to design a facility wherein students can work & learn along with the practicing professionals.
The aim is to design a facility dedicated to only architecture students & professionals with 40 studios of small & medium size design firms, working space for 60 students & 30 freelancing architects, a library (digital + conventional), a material lab, stationary, printing & model cutting provisions, an exhibition hall, indoor games room & two seminar halls with each having seating capacity of 150 people to hold any architectural event in the premises. Gardens, amphitheatre & other outdoor areas can also be added. (Lifts, Staircase & Common toilets). The Challenge is to design spaces that allows for interaction between students & professionals with an aim to create a one of its kind Architectural Design Community.
The major thought behind the competition is to design a facility where the design students & professionals work together encouraging design dialogue, interactive sessions, workshops etc & a new generation of Architects.
Our Fourth-year students Anjali Lokhande, Nimisha Chaudhary & Sunidhi Kasalkar participated in this competition and their panel was selected in top 50 winners worldwide.

OBJECTIVE:
1. To enable students from all colleges of zone 3 to take part in competitions based on design, cultural, on spot events, workshops and seminars.
2. To make students familiar with various interests and ideas related to field of architecture.
BRIEF OF THE EVENT:
Day 1 [14.9.2019, Saturday]
We reached Shivajinagar Bus Stand at 11:30 am with all the delegates going to take part in ZONASA and reached the venue by 7:30 pm.
There were 17 students as a participants from our college out of which 11 girls were provided accommodation near college campus & 6 boys were provided accommodation around 1km away from college campus and for faculty representing each college were provided with a stay at hotel 2 km away from college campus.
In the night, the Trophy Pin-ups was held. Our college participated in Reubens Trophy as a visitor.
Day 2 [15.9.2019, Sunday]
The inauguration program started at 9 am continued till 12 pm followed by lunch. In the inauguration program, the key note speakers were Ar. Shailesh Devi, Nashik & Ar. Sanjay Patil, Nashik presented their work.
After the inauguration program, some students participated into seminars & workshops such as:

After all of the above seminars & workshops, the Dhol performance of all the participant colleges was organized. The on-the spot design competition was also conducted. The on-the spot competitions were also carried out simultaneously.
In the evening, The Fashion Trophy competition was organized, which was followed by dinner.
Day 3 [16.9.2019, Sunday]
The inauguration program started at 9 am continued till 12 pm followed by lunch. In the inauguration program, the key note speakers were Ar. Mahesh Nampurkar, Pune & Ar. Alkesh Gangwal, Aurangabad presented their work.

Subject: Makeintern-Enactus, Zonal Championship at IIT Delhi.
CHAMPIONSHIP BRIEF:
A two day Workshop was conducted by Shaastra event-IIT Madras, in collaboration with makeintern at our institute regarding Building Construction subject on 13th and 14th of August 2019, under the supervision of Mr. Vivek Singh. Students were given information regarding some software’s and were given some tasks to perform. In this two day event, three students of our institute were selected on merit basis for the Final round of Zonal Championship which, is at National level and was to be held at IIT Delhi. The Students who were selected are from Fourth year B.Arch of our Institute as below:
The above Championship was to be held at IIT Delhi on 09.02.2020, where in almost 30 Institutes from various fields were going to participate, including a college from Nepal also. As per the format of this championship students were given some topics out of which they have to select any one topic and give a presentation on it, which was to be concluded with a questionnaire by the Jury members to whom the presentation was given. The Jury members were well known personalities in the field of Construction and who are working on National and International level projects.
OBJECTIVE:
The Objective of the project was to give a platform for students to express their innovative ideas on the given topic, which shall also boost their confidence levels and improve their personality as a whole and attempt to carve out a good professional person in future.
OUTCOME:
On 09.02.2020, for the Final round of the above Championship our students had selected the topic “Design and Analysis of Integrated Smart Bus Terminal”, which was to be presented in minimum 14 slides and the time given for the presentation was 10 minutes, which was followed by a question answer session by the jury members. Our student’s presentation was very well appreciated by the jury members and the other participants present and contesting for the championship.
In the above Championship our students stood Second from over all 30 institutes who had contested for the above championship. They also received Certificate of Merit and a price money of Rs. 15,000/- as a reward.
Such type of participation in a National level Championship will definitely help to improve the confidence level of our students and motivate them to become a good professional in future and also will give a national level recognition to our institute also.

A quiz competition “Architectural Quotient” was organized by PVPCOA, Pune in association with IIA, Pune.Total 23 colleges from Pune participated in the event with 107 teams (2 students each team).
26 students of 2 nd year to 4 th year from S.B. Patil College of Architecture and Design participated in the quiz. Students of 3 rd year-Sec A, Nirmal Wankhede and Shubham Shetty secured 3rd rank in the event with a total score of 25. All participating students were felicitated with participation certificate. Winning candidates received trophy and certificate. A Students received a cash prize of Rs.2500/- and certificate.
We are proud to announce that a student from our college Miss Samiksha Patil from 4th year got selected in *Pune District Women's Basketball Team*. We wish her luck for further games.
