Faculty members of S.B. Patil College of Architecture and Design (PCET Campus) institute arranged this site visit at PCCOE Nigdi, and were present for the explanation of details about the RCC construction process of Slab, Beam and Column.

OBJECTIVES OF CASE STUDY:
1. The third semester design syllabus of Pune University is mentioning the focus on to design a multi- cellular dual level spaces on a site. Bungalow remains a popular housing type, so taking Architects residence cum design studio as a Minor Project.
2. Main intension for taking ‘Navkar Architects and India House, Pune’ was student to understand connectivity between residential and commercial block, use of form, space & order with help of materials.
3. To understand climatic condition and accordingly response of the design.
BRIEF OF CASE STUDY:
The study helped students to understand the integration of spaces along with the flow of materials especially when two functions are clubbed together like a residence and an office.
i. Navkar Architects, Pune.
‘Manikanchan’, Architect Girish Doshi’s house makes a unique design studio for his architectural firm the ‘Navkar Architects.’ It is the good example of construction of spaces and places with play of lights, authentic materials patching with nature.

ii. India House, Pune.
Ar. Christopher Charles Benninger’s house and his office, India House draws its inspiration from Wada, traditional prototype. The integration of vernacular ideas, thoughtful design, and optimization of natural light reduces the primary energy consumption. The form where the courtyard divides but still integrates the two functions as one entity.

2. Equipment’s required for the process of manufacturing of Ready-mix concrete.

4. To study how it is been carried out from the manufacturing plant to the construction site.
BRIEF OF THE EVENT :
BTM IV Faculty members of S.B. Patil College of Architecture and Design (PCET Campus) institute had arranged this site visit at RMC Plant, and were present for the explanation of material, equipment’s required and the manufacturing process of ready mix concrete.
Various materials were observed along with the equipment’s used in the process of manufacturing and the detail procedure of manufacturing of ready mix concrete was shown to the students and had shown them how it’s been arranged on site and how it’s been carried out from the manufacturing plant to the site.

OBJECTIVES :
1. To understand the Standards and Construction Technique of Competition Swimming Pool.
2. To understand the basic working of Filtration Process, Balancing Tank etc.
3. To understand various elements and its use like Changing Room, Diving Tower, Practice Pool etc.
4. To study the Seating Area capacity and slope.
5. To study the Slab and Trusses of Long Span, Badminton Court.
6. To study additional information like exhaust, acoustics, air conditioning, flooring etc.
BRIEF OF THE EVENT :
Faculty members of S.B. Patil College of Architecture and Design (PCET Campus) institute arranged this site visit at Balewadi Stadium, and were present for the explanation of details about the various functioning and working process of Swimming Pool (majorly) and Long Span.
Various Technical terms were observed and explained. For example, typology, filters, disinfectant, skimmer, balancing tank, pump and suction strainer, multiport valve, level regulator, pool cleaner, chlorine dispenser, force pipe, flooring, capacity, depth, slope, deck, steps, drainage, security measures, seating arrangements and its capacity including slope and line of site.
