Objective:
Ambience Enhancement: The primary objective was to uplift the visual appeal of the college premises through artistic expression on the floors, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.
Student Engagement: Engaging first-year B.Arch students in a practical activity that allows them to apply their creative skills outside the classroom environment.
Community Bonding: Fostering a sense of belonging and collaboration among students and faculty members through a collective project.
Brief:
In an effort to enhance the ambience of our college environment and foster a sense of creativity and community engagement, a floor painting activity was organized. This initiative was led by Ar. Prachi Pande, Ar. Kajal Sawant with the guidance of Principal Sir, Dr. Mahendra Sonawane along with the enthusiastic participation of first-year (B.Arch) students.
The floor painting activity was conducted over a span of two days, allowing ample time for planning, preparation, and execution.
Planning and Design: The faculty members provided guidance and oversight, ensuring that the selected designs aligned with the overall theme of ambience enhancement.
Preparation: Necessary materials such as paint, brushes, stencils, and protective gear were arranged. The selected areas for painting were cleaned and prepped to ensure a smooth surface for the artwork.
Execution: Students worked collaboratively in groups, each assigned to a specific section of the floor. Under the supervision of faculty members, they meticulously brought their designs to life, paying attention to detail and precision.
Final Touches: Upon completion of the painting, final touch-ups were made to refine the artwork and ensure its longevity.
Outcomes:
Visual Transformation: The floor painting activity resulted in a remarkable visual transformation of the college premises. The vibrant and aesthetically pleasing artworks added character and charm to otherwise mundane spaces.
Student Empowerment: Participating students gained valuable hands-on experience in translating their creative ideas into tangible artworks. This not only honed their artistic skills but also boosted their confidence and sense of achievement.
Sense of Ownership: By actively contributing to the enhancement of their college environment, students developed a sense of ownership and pride in their campus.
Community Building: The collaborative nature of the activity facilitated interactions and camaraderie among students and faculty members, strengthening the sense of community within the college.

Subject : Enhancement of Permanent Ambience at S.B.Patil College of Architecture & Design, Nigdi for all the Events held in academic year 2023-24.
Objective: To enhance the Permanent Ambience at S. B. Patil College of Architecture & Design, Nigdi for all the Events held in Academic Year 2023-24.
Brief:
As per the quarterly meeting conducted for the Ambience work with Respected Principal Dr. Mahendra Sonawane Sir & the Ambience team, a list of events has been prepared that have been scheduled for the academic year as per the academic calendar. In this report, we have shown the ambience enhancement done for International Conference event held by SBPCOAD on 17th & 18th July 2023.
Faculty in charge of the Ambience portfolio, further works collectively towards the enhancement of Ambience for all the Events under Principal Sir’s guidance. A group of students volunteered to assist the respective faculties’ in-charge for the execution of work.

Subject : Enhancement & renovation of Second floor of SBPCOAD College building with respect to SBPCOAD conference & inauguration of art gallery.
Objective: To enhance and update the Permanent Ambience of Second floor including all the connecting & interactive passage areas and the wall surfaces.
Brief of the Event:
Respected Principal Sir along with the ambience team monitored & surveyed the entire college building in order to identify the areas where the renovation / upgradation had to be done for conduction of SBPCOAD conference & inauguration of student’s art gallery.
Faculty in charge for Ambience portfolio were further guided & instructed by Principal Sir regarding how the ambience can be uplifted using various mediums of display & presentation.

VENUE: SBPCOAD Gr. Floor. entrance & corridor walls of 2nd- 3rd and 4th floor.
Subject: Enhancing ambience and applying Architectural language to the walls of college.

The purpose of this activity was to make the building lively and also to get inspired by the similar activities happening in other Architecture colleges in SPPU, India and abroad, to motivate students to take part in college activities.
This activity kick started initially as a wall painting cum mural competition named ‘Energized space’ which was launched internally in the college on 05/07/2018 with extended submission date of 28/08/2018. The students submitted the concept sketches on following topics (briefs were provided to the students)-
Each category was headed by a faculty and a student in charge.
The meeting was held at Principal’s cabin and headed by Principal Dr. Mahendra Sonawane and attended by Prof. Apoorva Gijare (faculty head for competitions), Prof. Gurudeep Chikhalkar, Prof. Swati Bhide & Prof. Shilpa Patil. The panel of faculty was selected for the selection of the entries. The selected panel is headed by Prof. Gurudeep Chikhalkar and has Prof. Swati Bhide & Prof. Shilpa Patil as members. The faculty panel selected the entries from all 12 categories.
All faculty members and Principal sir brainstormed on the various concepts from Architectural books, internet and through student entries for each wall in subsequent meetings and finalized the artwork for each wall. Each faculty was assigned two walls and the concepts for those two. The dimensional drawings were prepared of those artworks by Faculties with the help of group of students.
All the walls were first marked by chalks and markers and then painted with each themes.
